I could not figure out how to do much and you are right the support from ATN is weak at best. I bought the x-sight II 3-14 in August - I has been a love hate relationship - I have had it on and off two different guns - my Savage had bolt clearance issues - my Marauder had mounting issues - finally found a universal Pic rail that works - fairly well, If all works out then I won't be the only one heading home when it gets dark This one is obvious to those who does videos or photography. Turn off WiFi when not needed (save battery)Įxpect poor video quality and out-of- focus issues if there is not enough light for the sensor to pick up. Turn off GPS/Geo Tagging when indoors to prevent lock-ups. Use a fast and reliable SD Card such as SanDisk Extreme. Hence "Do not unplug or turn off power while updating" on a computer or other devices requiring updates. Using low battery will cause a lock-up in the middle of a setup and may NOT save into memory prior to powering down. Always have extra batteries at all times (preferably Lithium). Here's what I'm gathering and expectation so far.ĭon't expect 4AA battery to last in a power hungry microcomputer scope.

The XSight scope will consolidate in purchasing another scope (Hawke or MTC), night vision equipment (NiteSite) and video recording accessories such as a DVR & battery pack (to share with you guys). I moved the Hawke onto my Hatsan Carnivore (nicked BAM BAM). Even after reading the issues people are having with this scope on the XSight still seem to be a good candidate for night pesting for my Marauder 25 I took the Hawke scope from. I'm still keeping my eye our on this scope. My guess is: It does not work as advertised. The video alone would probably take a ton of workload of their hands, when it comes to customer support. Thanks for the link!ĮDIT: One thing that really gets to me, is the fact that ATN themselves do not even bother to put a video online, that explains EVERY feature the scope has to offer! Why would they not do that? It would take them a few hours to create a video like that. I am new to all of this so I may have mixed a few things up, ha ha. How do you use a regular laser range finder with the ATN? I looked at the reticles the scope offers, and none seem to have an mil dots. Problem is, my scope has no mild dots, so having a range finder is not an option for me. You said you use your traditional handheld range finder. The problem is, finding someone that actually uses that feature, and can comment about it.

I understand how it is supposed to work, but that is not the problem.
